Sesame Broccoli Stir-Fry (Recipe)


Ingredients

5 cups broccoli florets
1 cup button mushrooms, quartered
1 bell pepper, cut into strips
1/3 cup chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, wedged
3 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Salt to taste

Steps

1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch.
2. Stir in chili sauce and sesame oil.  Set aside.
3. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil then stir-fry broccoli and bell pepper for 1 minute.
4. Add mushrooms and onion then stir-fry for another minute.
5. Stir in liquid mixture and cook until sauce thickens and vegetables are evenly coated.
6. Season with salt.
7. Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.
