Ham Cornets (Recipe)


Ingredients

225g (8oz) cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp chopped fresh tarragon
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
10 slices good-quality ham, cut into thirds
30 water biscuits or crackers

Steps

Mix together the cream cheese, mustard, tarragon and salt pepper in a small bowl until blended.  Place about 1/2 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture at the short end of a ham slice and roll into a cornet shape.  Repeat with the remaining slices, reserving a small amount of the cream cheese mixture.  To assemble, smear a very small amount of the cream cheese mixture on each biscuit as a 'glue' to secure the ham cornet.  Top each biscuit with the cornet and serve immediately.
