Stuffed Peppers (Recipe)


Ingredients

3 large bell peppers

FILLINGS

1/2 kilo vegemeat, ground
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons raisins
1 clove garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Water

Steps

1. Boil peppers for 45 seconds, turn off heat, and let stay for a few minutes.  Drain and cool.
2. Cut in two's crosswise then remove seeds and ribs.
3. Preheat oven to 190C.
4. Fill peppers halves with sauteed vegemeat mixture.  (Heres hw: Saute garlic, onion, and tomatoes in vegetable oil.  Add vegemeat and simmer for 3 minutes.  Add raisins, then season with salt.  Saute for 1 minute.)
5. Place in small baking dish with 1/4 cup hot water and bake for 20 minutes.
6. Serve hot.
